An eclectic gentleman, a scholar, and promoter of love and goodwill, Spencer Maughan Swallie will remain forever in our hearts. He was a man with generous spirit, whose care for others earned him many close friends from different walks of life. His talent for providing playful humor to every-day life never diminished his serious focus on love and loyalty. Spencer was a protector of people, and was always ready to help and support anyone in need. His priority on family virtues and unconditional acceptance of others inspires us all to integrate these qualities into our own lives.

He is survived by his soul mate and partner Taralee Hodges-Sundberg, and her children Madison Sundberg, Mackenzie Sundberg, Emilee Sundberg, Ethan M. Sundberg; his parents, Nancy Maughan Swallie and Norman Lee Swallie; his sister Carolee Swallie; his sister Marianne Swallie , her husband Matthew R. Vehrs , and their children Andrew F. A. Swallie, Matt J. Vehrs, and Quincy M. Friend; his brother Eric W. Swallie, his wife Galina L. Swallie, and their son Nikita E. Swallie; his sister Carleen Haggard, her husband Wade P. Haggard, and their children Luke T. Haggard, Cade P. Haggard, Mace L. Haggard; his sister Jeannine Swallie, her husband Sean J. Morris, and their children Lasca C. Lawniczak (Ryan Lawniczak), Shane Indigo Stafford, Ian X. Stafford.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 2, 2017 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Viewing at 10:00 am, service at 11:00 am, with graveside services following directly after:
